Basketmouth to miss African Kings of comedy in Nairobi
Bright 'Basketmouth' Okpocha has pulled out of the African King of Comedy show.
Bright 'Basketmouth' Okpocha says he will not be attending the upcoming African King of Comedy show slated for Saturday, October 26, 2013 in Nairobi, Kenya.
The event which has been backed up with a lot of campaign and publicity was supposed to feature Basket Mouth (Nigeria) alongside Eric Omondi (Kenya), Patrick Salvador, Kotilda and Ann Kaansime (Uganda), Zambia's Kasambwe (Zambia), Carl Ncube (Zimbabwe), Mandy (Nigeria) and lots more.
However, Basketmouth dropped the sad news on his Twitter on Sunday, October 20, announcing a new date.
''Okay my peeps in Nairobi. I won't be coming to Nairobi as promoted by the Africa's King of comedy...long story. But the good news is that I'm in Nairobi on the 9th of November for Nite of a 1000 laughs...Can't wait!!!!!''
The event which is to be hosted by Eric Omondi still holds at the Kenyatta International Conference Centre (KICC) with other African comedians confirmed to attend.
The show had earlier been slated for September 28 but was postponed due to the terrorist attack at the Westgate Shopping Mall, Nairobi.
