Too Much Talent – Chelsea Loan XI: Is There Room For Chalobah?

Goalkeeper - Thibaut Courtois
Due to Roman Abramovich’s lavish spending style at the helm of Chelsea, the West Londoners often sign plenty of youngsters oozing potential but then fail to accommodate the majority of them in their first-team squad.

To ensure their future stars do not endure a stunt in development many are given the chance to flourish elsewhere, not under the watchful eyes of their own coaches at the club’s Cobham training ground, but around a variety of other European clubs.
Although controversial, amidst accusations that beneficiaries of the loans are nothing more than feeder clubs, the tactics are usually vindicated. The Blues are either able to recall ready made replacements to their current squad, or manage to offload unwanted players that have put themselves firmly in the shop window.
With a growing contingent to choose from, including seven loanees at Dutch sideVitesse alone, Squawka have whittled matters down to a starting XI that could challenge the cream of Jose Mourinho’s crop, in a risqué 3-2-3-2 formation.
