Mountain of Fire Ministries Begin Crusade To Close All Beer Parlours In Lagos!!

A crusade to shut down beer parlours, reduce crime and depopulate the kingdom of darkness in Ogba area of Lagos, western Nigeria, is underway, Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, MFM, said at a press conference on Sunday.
“We want to close down beer parlours in Ogba environment. We want to convert beer parlours into our praying centres,” said Pastor Aderemi Oseni, the Regional Overseer of MFM Region 32 Ogba, Lagos, who addressed journalists in his church.
“At the end of this crusade, the kingdom of Satan would have been completely depopulated,” he said, adding that the crusade will take place between 19 and 21 December at MFM Regional Headquarters at 9, Ajayi Road, Ogba.
Sensitization campaigns have already begun and a march around Ogba area took place on Sunday.
Oseni said crime had skyrocketed in Nigeria and MFM was ready to assist the government in reducing it in Ogba area.
“We are worried about the extent of crime going on in Nigeria presently and we desire as a church of God to see as much as we can in assisting the government of this country in reducing crime in our own environment,” Oseni said, adding that crime can be reduced through evangelism.
Oseni said it was an open secret that major streets in Ogba have been converted into shrines.
“I am aware of the fact that powers of darkness have converted all our major roads to shrines in this environment. We want to pull down all these (shrines),” he said, adding that they are militating against the progress of mankind

Do you know what they called Ghana before, Gold Coast. I lived in Ghana and that was where I got used to it early in my life. We make statement with our looks in Ghana.
In those days when we were in Ghana, your wife bathed you and took care of you.
I am from Ghana, so I have been using jewellery (he sends for an album). I want to show you some pictures. Pictures that I took some 40 years back, you would see chains on my neck. Look at my hand chains and rings in this picture. That is how I was brought up.

Snow in Cairo, Egypt for the first time in over 100 years



For the first time in over 100 years, a winter storm has brought snow to a city known for its heat and sand, Cairo in Egypt.


According to local reports, it happened over night and unexpectedly on Wednesday Dec. 11th. An official of Egypt's Meteorological centre said it was first time in decades since the last snowfalls and it took residents of Cairo suburbs by surprise. But most are delighted because they have never seen snow before.They took to Twitter to post their amazement in words and shared pictures

Fathered By A Ghost, Married To A Ghost - Osun State Woman Tells Her Story (Photos)


 














This young lady above, says she was fathered by a ghost, only to later marry a ghost for whom she has 3 sons and is currently pregnant for.

According to 20-year-old Taiyelolu Abdulrahman, while telling her chilling story to Nigerian Tribune, her father, who died almost 20 years ago, nurtured her till she was married to another dead or “ghost” husband.

She and her twin brother, Kehinde, grew up with their father in a flat at the Ajah area of Lagos.
They led a relatively comfortable life in the house where they only depended on generator as the only
source of electricity. Although their father was not engaged in any kind of work, he provided for them.
My father was not working. He never left the house except on a few occasions at night. But if I asked for N50, 000, he gave it to me. We had no visitors and we visited nobody,” she said.All they had to do were sleep, eat and watch home videos.
Asked about her mother, she said she and her twin brother grew up to know only their father. They did not see any woman with him.

To go out of the house, their father gave the twins a small gourd each which they simply clasped to their palms and then they burst out on the road and board vehicles to the market to purchase food items like wheat, semovita, macaroni, spaghetti and rice. They never consumed amala (yam flour meal).

On a particular day, however, Taiyelolu forgot to take her gourd and as she stepped out of the house, what confronted her was a cemetery with a lot of vaults and a bushy environment.
She screamed and dashed back inside.

Obasanjo bombs Jonathan

President Goodluck Jonathan is under  a fresh attack . This time, it  is a stinker  from a former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo.
 The Balogun of Owu, Abeokuta, did not make an impromptu speech at a public forum, he took his time to pen what he felt to be Jonathan’s  failings.
In  an 18-page  letter to  the President, Obasanjo  accused  him, among other things, of  not honouring his words  and  taking actions calculated at destroying Nigeria.
The  letter dated December 2, 2013 and titled, “Before it is too late”  became public  knowledge on Wednesday. Only on Monday, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Tambuwal, said Jonathan was paying lip service to  the anti-corruption campaign  in the country.
In the letter, Obasanjo accused the President of  pursuing “ selfish personal and political interests based on advise from his “self-centred aides.”
He also alleged that the President had  failed  to deliver on his promises to Nigerians and to  curb insurgency and corruption in the country.

I am constrained to make this an open letter to you for a number of reasons.    One,  the  current  situation  and  consequent  possible  outcome dictate that I should,  before the door  closes on reason  and promotion of national  interest,  alert  you  to  the  danger  that  may  be  lurking  in  the corner.    Two, none of  the  four  or more  letters  that I  have  written to  you in  the  past  two  years  or  so  has  elicited  an  acknowledgment  or  any response.    Three,  people  close  to  you,  if  not  yourself,  have  been asking,  what  does  Obasanjo  want?    Four,  I  could  sense  a  semblance between  the situation that  we are  gradually getting into and the situation we fell into as a nation during the Abacha era.    Five, everything must be done  to  guard,  protect  and  defend  our  fledgling  democracy,  nourish  it and  prevent  bloodshed.    Six,  we  must  move  away  from  advertently  or inadvertently  dividing  the country along  weak seams  of North-South and Christian-Moslem.    Seven,  nothing  should be  done to  allow  the  country to  degenerate  into  economic  dormancy,  stagnation  or  retrogression.
Eight,  some  of  our  international  friends  and  development  partners  are genuinely  worried  about  signs  and  signals  that  are  coming  out  of Nigeria.    Nine,  Nigeria  should  be in a  position to  take  advantage  of  the present  favourable  international  interest  to  invest  in  Africa  -  an opportunity  that  will  not  be  open  for  too  long.    Ten,  I  am  concerned about your legacy and your climb-down which you alone can best be the manager of, whenever you so decide.

FG to close N’Assembly complex for one year

The Federal Executive Council on Wednesday approved a contract of N40.2bn for the construction of the Phase III, Part III of the National Assembly complex and the upgrading of the assembly’s two chambers.
To pave the way for the smooth implementation of the project, the two chambers would be closed to legislative duties for 12 months.
The approval was given by FEC on Wednesday at its weekly meeting presided over by Vice President Namadi Sambo.
President Goodluck Jonathan was away in South Africa where he participated in the funeral rites for the country’s former President, Dr. Nelson Mandela.

Getting cuffed and arrested on your hubby’s birthday has got to be the worst. Especially if it’s all over some parking tickets.
Unfortunately for Toya Wright, that was her reality last night after she was thrown in jail over failure to pay a parking ticket in Atlanta. The face she’s making in her mugshot is pretty much my reaction!
According to TMZ, who first broke the story, Toya was cruising around College Park last night when she was pulled over for speeding. A routine search by the officer found that she had a warrant out for her arrest. Toya was immediately taken into custody and booked at the local county jail. She was eventually freed on $290 bail.

What Causes Tumors?

Tumors can be benign, pre-malignant, or malignant, and caused by several different factors. Malignant ones are cancerous, while benign are not.
When cells are formed, they have the ability to differentiate. When cells begin splitting in a mother’s womb, they program themselves for specific jobs. Some become heart cells, some become the brain, and so forth, until the body is fully formed. Cells also have the ability to self-regulate. When new cells are needed, they know how to produce more and to stop when no more cells are needed.
When cells continue to be created, this can cause tumors. Tumor cells cannot differentiate or self-regulate, but continue to grow until they are discovered. Tumors begin to apply pressure to surrounding body parts and nerves, causing health problems. This is especially true of those in the brain.

Really, it couldn’t have been more difficult. The Americans open the tournament against Ghana, who eliminated the U.S. in the last two World Cups, and then face two of Europe’s best teams in Portugal (in the Amazon rainforest) and Germany (who the U.S. lost to in the 1998 and 2002 World Cups).
Compounding the task of advancing to the second round is the ridiculous amount of travel facing the United States. The Americans will have logged nearly 9,000 miles after they complete group play. To recap: The U.S. will play the team that has ended their last two World Cup runs, one of the best players in the World, and a three-time World Cup champion.
In 20 years, there hasn’t been a harder Group of Death. But this is why it’s going to be OK.

A mourning nation prepares for Mandela funeral Dec. 15

The former president will be given a state funeral in the Eastern Cape village of Qunu

Flags flew at half-staff Friday as South Africa, in deep mourning, prepared for a week of reflection, prayer and remembrance before Nelson Mandela is laid to rest in a state funeral next Sunday in the Eastern Cape village of Qunu.
Archbishop Desmond Tutu led a prayer service in Mandela's memory on Friday at St. George's Cathedral in Cape Town.
"All of us here in many ways amazed the world, a world that was expecting us to be devastated by a racial conflagration," Tutu said, recalling how Mandela helped unite South Africa as it dismantled apartheid and prepared for all-race elections in 1994.
The Johannesburg Stock Exchange paused trading at 11 a.m. to mark the passing of the anti-apartheid leader and former president.
Hours after his death, a black SUV-type vehicle containing his flag-draped coffin pulled away from his home after midnight in Johannesburg's leafy Houghton neighborhood, escorted by military motorcycle outriders, to take the body to a military morgue in Pretoria, the capital.

Nelson Mandela: Sport pays tribute to former South Africa president.

Fifa president Sepp Blatter has led the sporting tributes to his "dear friend", South Africa's first black president Nelson Mandela, who has died aged 95.
Mr Mandela had used sport to bring his country together following strict racial segregation by his predecessors.

Mr Mandela once stated: "Sport has the power to change the world. It has the power to inspire, it has the power to unite people, in a way that little else does."
Fifa's president hailed Mr Mandela's impact on football's 2010 World Cup in South Africa and said there would be a minute's silence as a mark of respect ahead of the next round of international matches.
"When he was honoured and cheered by the crowd at Johannesburg's Soccer City stadium on 11 July 2010, it was as a man of the people, a man of their hearts.
"It was one of the most moving moments I have ever experienced. For him, the World Cup in South Africa truly was 'a dream come true'," Blatter added.
After he was elected as president in 1994, the 1995 Rugby World Cup was to be the showcase event for Mr Mandela's unifying agenda in South Africa.
One of the defining sporting images of the century was to follow in the final when, after South Africa's 15-12 extra-time victory against favourites New Zealand, Springboks captain Francois Pienaar was handed the trophy by Mr Mandela.
In that moment, racially divided South Africa came together in a way unimaginable during the 27 years the Nobel Peace Prize winner was incarcerated for his actions in the fight against apartheid.
South Africa rugby tweeted: "Rest in Peace Nelson Mandela. We will never forget the role you played in our country, in our sport, and for that we are eternally grateful."
Joost van der Westhuizen, who played in the 1995 World Cup final, said on Twitter: "A sad day for our country. Rest in Peace Madiba. Condolences to his family and friends."

If you're an optimist, South African democracy is well established and solid enough to withstand the trauma of Nelson Mandela's passing.
Mandela's African National Congress has won all four national elections since the advent of democracy in 1994 though its popularity has gradually eroded. Headed by President Jacob Zuma, the ANC still commands a two-thirds majority in parliament before elections in 2014.
The ANC rules in an alliance with the Congress of South African Trade Unions (Cosatu) and the South African Communist Party, of which Zuma was once a member. Communist and union officials contest elections under the ANC banner.
Zuma, South Africa's president since 2009, is a 71-year-old Zulu populist whose personal life is marked with controversy. He has four wives and 20 children. He was charged but not convicted of rape and corruption.

Recalling Nelson Mandela: 'Everyone was in awe of him'


The anti-apartheid leader's popularity was evident in a 1990 visit to the United States.

Detroit Magistrate Judge Margaret Baylor recalls coming face-to-face with Nelson Mandela while she was a volunteer for Trans Africa, an African-American foreign policy lobbying group.
The organization had raised money for the African National Congress, and she was to meet Mandela in Durban, South Africa.
"Mr. Mandela came in first. I could not speak," she said. "I was stuttering and sputtering.
"Everyone was in awe of him because of what he did and how he handled himself."
Mandela died Thursday in South Africa.
Baylor, like many Americans, had spent years in the movement to end apartheid, the system in which minority-white rule prevailed in South Africa. When Mandela was released after 27 years in prison for advocating violence to oust the government, Baylor, like many activists, were stunned when he reconciled with his captors.
"He was not mad. He was just going forward to the next thing. I knew that this was somebody unlike most others," Baylor said.
Mandela's fortitude and his eventual support for peaceful co-existence with whites earned him the respect of many. His popularity was evident when he visited the United States in June 1990.
Trudy Gallant-Stokes recalls how Tiger Stadium in Detroit hummed with excitement as thousands of people awaited his arrival. Gallant-Stokes, then a freelancer from Black Entertainment Television, said Mandela connected deeply to the crowd.
"He seemed to be speaking just human being to human being," she said. "He was so humble in spite of all he'd accomplished."
A chance encounter in the hallway of Detroit's Renaissance Center stays with her. Gallant-Stokes was standing with her mother when Mandela passed by a few feet away.
"He just happened to turn and nod at us. That was our moment," she said.
Baylor's moment had come hours before in a hangar at the airport where Mandela had held a news conference. In thanking his hosts, he mentioned Baylor.
"I have a tape of him saying my name out of his lips," Baylor said. "I'm talking about this 22 years later, and I am excited about it all over again."

Mandela's visit changed Detroit, says former UAW leader Owen Bieber.
Mandela brought the city together at a time of racial tension, Bieber said. As police escorted Mandela from the airport, Bieber saw people standing outside their cars as the motorcade passed. He assumed they were angry at the stopped traffic.
"These people were waving to us. There were more whites than there were blacks," he said.
Bieber had seen firsthand the conditions in South Africa's black townships and prisons on a visit to the country in 1986. Bieber, then president of the UAW and a member of Secretary of State George Schultz's advisory commission on South Africa under President Reagan, had been working with South Africa's Metal and Allied Workers Union to free its leader Moses Mayekiso, who had been jailed following a riot with police.
