Mesut Ozil Set To Anger Arsenal Fans

  Mesut Özil caused some chaos amongst Arsenal fans after their 2-0 Capital One Cup loss to Chelsea. The German started on the bench but came on and after the game, he confronted Jose Mourinho and offered the Portuguese his short.
Mourinho was the man who bought Özil to Real Madrid and the spent the last three years mentoring the young German before Mourinho moved to Chelsea and Özil to their London rivals Arsenal.
After the game, Özil was asked why he gave his shirt to the Chelsea manager to which the 24-year old replied.


“I gave my jersey to Mourinho because he’s the best coach in the world and I love him like a father.”
His comments certainly didn’t go down well with the Arsenal fans who took it offensively with the German rating Mourinho ahead of Arsene Wenger.
The fact is Özil has spent the last three years under the mentorship of Mourinho at Real Madrid. The fact he snubbed the likes of PSG & Manchester United to join Arsenal, shows Özil is committed to the Gunners and he even stated that Wenger was the main reason for joining up with the Gunners.
For him to say Wenger is the best on the world after only working under him for two months would be naive. Mourinho also has a better record in regards to silverware in recent years and as hard as it may be to hear, Özil may have been speaking the truth.
That does not mean that he prefers Chelsea over Arsenal or Mourinho over Wenger, it shows the respect he has for Mourinho
