Muslim faithful storm Lagos over alleged image of dead Imam

Muslim faithful have not stopped trooping to the popular Alfa Shehu mosque, at Owode-Onirin, along Ikorodu road, Lagos State, where they claimed to have seen the image of Sheik Ibrahim Niyyas, Sheik Hamad Tijhani and Shehu Bulala, on the walls of the mosque and other houses around the Mosque.
It is now four days since the apparitions purportedly appeared on the walls, yet people have continued to troop to the place unceasingly. DailyPost gathered that the images had appeared a few days to Ramadan fasting period, however, the Imam of the Mosque, Alhaji Shehu Nurudeen, warned his son not to disclose the development to anyone as it would be difficult for anyone to believe such news. The apparition had remained secret until a man (name withheld), went there from Apapa area of Lagos State on Tuesday morning, confirming that he was told by Allah about the incident.
The Imam’s son, Ibrahim Nurudeen had told journalists that people started trooping into the place after the stranger visited the Mosque.
“When we were about rounding off the fast, my dad saw the image on the wall inside the mosque but he warned us against publicising it because people may not believe. We were however surprised on Tuesday morning when a man whom we had not seen before, came around to say that he got a revelation about Sheik Niyyas, Tijhani and Bulala, appearing on the wall.
“Before we could address the issue, people had started trooping in from various parts of the country to see what was happening here. My dad had to leave the house since people started coming to confirm for themselves. I’m not surprised at the way people have been coming because those people who appear on the walls are our legends in Islam,” he said.
One Islamic cleric, Jamiu Afeez, in confirmation of the development said that the images were looking so real at the early stage but with people’s continuous attempt to touch them made them to disappear.
The cleric confirmed that people visit the Mosque from all parts of the country.

We had to call mobile policemen and soldiers to help us control the crowd here yesterday because people have not stopped coming.
“We have been praying here since that Tuesday morning, day and night because it is a revelation from God and a clear indication that our prayers have been answered. The more we prayed, the more the Sheiks appeared. People have come in from Ilorin, Offa and other parts of the country to see for themselves,” he explained.
Sheik Niyyas, one of those appearing on the walls was a popular Islamic cleric who had lived from 1900 to 1975. He was born in Senegal, and till today, he is been worshipped by some Muslim faithful.
