MAN GULPS EIGHT CANS OF ENERGY DRINK, DIES
A man, identified as one Elijah Nwankwo, from Ikwo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, has allegedly died after drinking eight cans of Bullet Energy drink, following a bet with a friend.
This was contained in a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer of the Enugu State Command, Mr. Ebere Amaraizu, on Friday.
Amaraizu, in the statement, said the deceased had on Thursday took the bet with one Chikwado Nchionu, to drink eight cans of the energy drink simultaneously, and billed to collect N1,600 upon the successful completion of the task.
It was gathered that after taking eight cans of the energy drink, Nwankwo became weak and subsequently went into a coma.
He said to have been rushed to the Mother of Christ Hospital, Enugu, where he was confirmed dead by the doctor on duty.
Nwankwo’s body has been deposited at the hospital mortuary.
