A tragic incident happened around Trade Fair area of Lagos, a 26-year-old lady was found dead after she was reported missing for three days.
The deceased, Ijeoma Nwachukwu was last seen alive on Saturday, January 11. She was said to have told a staff of her aunt that she was going to see her boyfriend, Ifeanyi, whom she had been dating for over 2 years.
According to blogger Linda Ikeji, Ifeanyi was arrested after Ijeoma Nwachukwu’s corpse was found in the bush near the hotel where the deceased supposedly met with her boyfriend.

Human rights group, Civil Liberties Organisation (CLO) has applauded the National Assembly for initiating the anti-gay bill which was recently signed into law by President Goodluck Jonathan.
The CLO describes the law as just and acceptable unlike some human rights groups across the world which are against the anti-gay laws in Nigeria calling it an infringement of human right.
Speaking to reporters from The Punch, the  Executive Director of CLO, Ibuchukwu Ezike said the recently passed anti-gay law is commendable and accepted by Nigerians.

A middle aged man, Tuwanse Kabiru, serving life sentence graduated with 4,308 students who bagged various degrees at the 3rd convocation of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) in Lagos.
Mr. Kabiru was awarded a Bachelors degree (BA) in Human Resource Management. He attended the ceremony in the  company of the prison officials.
According to newsmen, Kabiru is currently serving a life sentence at the Kirikiri Maximum Prisons Lagos,  after he was found guilty of murder.

Rivers: Hoodlums open fire on pro-Amaechi rally

One of the vehicles damaged by hoodlums during a pro-Amaechi rally in Bori, Khana Local Government Area in Rivers State ... on Sunday.
HOODLUMS suspected to be militants on Sunday invaded the Save Rivers Movement rally in Bori, Khana Local Government Area and unleashed terror on members of the group.
The militants, who wore masks were said to have  shot sporadically mostly at  vehicles parked at the venue of the event by state government officials.
The  Secretary to the State Government, Mr. George Feyii, the Chief of Staff, Government House,  Chief Tony Okocha, and some journalists were among those that  escaped death by a whisker.
Some  however sustained serious bullet injuries during the incident that occurred  barely  a week   after a similar rally was disrupted by operatives of the Rivers State Police Command in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area.
